Cafe 67 always brings me back to being a kid. The place is so nostalgic... it feels like walking in to see old friends. The food is great every time. I usually get breakfast, and my husband always orders their Reuben. We make it a tradition to stop there after we lose at Barona Resort & Casino… it definitely makes the sting a little less!
We have been coming to this cute diner for over 10 years and the food never fails to impress us. The atmosphere is great with a retro vibe. Neat little decorations and pictures are all around which bring you back in time. The food portions are very large, and everything we have ordered has been very flavorful. The service has always been wonderful and attentive. Would absolutely recommend this place for a quick, hearty breakfast or lunch. The cafe is not open on Mondays so plan accordingly.

Excellent little hidden cafe at the start of the 67. This place gets super busy and seems to be very popular. Surprisingly I hadn't been here living in the area for a couple of years but the food is great and the staff are excellent so I understand it's popularity. So far, I've had a couple of their omelettes which were delicious, the giant cinnamon roll French toast - Mind blowing especially if you have a sweet tooth and maybe a bit much for others, the biscuits - Massive and yummy, reminds me a bit of my great grand mother's recipe. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for breakfast, as that is the only meal I've had here.
While on a roadtrip we stopped at Cafe 67 on March 11th after searching online for a restaurant. Sure glad we did! The service was great as was the food. We ordered way too much as we wanted to try a couple different things and the leftovers were great. Thankfully we have a camper with a fridge! The atmosphere was great as it seemed like a place where the locals gather.There was a “business meeting” going on at a long table setup and then a group of the “good old boys” having coffee and shooting the breeze. If we are in the area again we would definitely stop again.
Our group of four stopped in at Cafe 67 today around 11:30 am and had a really enjoyable lunch. We ordered two French Dips, a burger, and I had the Club sandwich. Everyone also got sides of steak fries. The portions were very ample — everything was generous and satisfying. We all really enjoyed our meals; the food was tasty and hit the spot perfectly. Our server, Brenda, was very pleasant and efficient, which made the experience even better. We loved the retro atmosphere. The place felt welcoming and had a lot of character. Overall, it was a great lunch outing. Great food, friendly service, and a cool retro setting. We will definitely be returning!

Located adjacent to Hwy 67 and convenient to Lakeside, this quaint and welcoming restaurant has a large breakfast style menu. It's open early for regular diners and closes in mid afternoon after the lunch service. Restaurant has booth style seating and an adjacent large room for meetings, groups and large family gatherings. Main dining room is decorated with antique toys and the walls have both car and movie themed prints. Large parking lot can be busy with easy access to Hwy 67, north to Ramona, west to San Diego/ Santee and south to Hwy 8 Alpine and beyond. Generous portions and friendly speedy service. A great family restaurant which can be very busy at weekends.
